Backporting for 3.0.x - which branch?

I’m unsure which branch to use to backport eg. Apply spotless / formatting fix by mprins · Pull Request #9605 · geoserver/geoserver · GitHub as we have both 3.0.x and 3.0.0.x branches and a backpot bot label for whichever 3.0-development branch is missing

Hi Mark,

I agree it’s confusing. Backport to 3.0.x, the 3.0.0.x branch is left there to allow emergency releases on top of 3.0.0… although we could just remove it after the release IMHO, and branch off the tag if needed.
