Bi-weekly meetings for GeoNetwork 5 and GeoNetwork 4 - new schedule

Dear mailing list,

I have volunteered to host GeoNetwork 4 meetings from now on; the first one was expected to happen today, with a GeoNetwork 5 meeting in two weeks (both happen at a two week interval to each other).

Unfortunately I will not able to host this meeting today and, hopefully for the last time, we have no choice but to move the meeting dates like so:

  • GeoNetwork 4 meetings: Wednesday every four weeks from the 27.08.2025 on
  • GeoNetwork 5 meetings: Wednesday every four weeks from the 10.09.2025 on

Thank you for your understanding! I will take care of updating the relevant wiki entries and will communicate on an agenda for next week as soon as possible.

@Jody I’ve added a review of the website changes in there. There’s also a few proposals and PRs that I know of, which I’ve added as well.

Perhaps one of the things we can do is define a new channel: https://meet.osgeo.org/GN4

Update: I got some feedback that jit.si quality is not so good, so we could also consider one of the other video conference things :slight_smile:
