Mateusz and I would like to do some preliminary setup work on buildbot tests
(for FDO initially). My plan is to do this on "xblade14-2 (198.202.74.219)".
For the time being I will make every effort to keep this to a local
environment so it will be easily moved, removed, etc as needed in the future.
Are there any objections?
Also, Howard, could you create an LDAP account for Mateusz?
Best regards,

Today, I'd like to do some first steps with buildbot on the xblade.
Obviously, I will need to install some software there.
What is the procedure and policy regarding installing it?
Should I contact the administrator?
Or I can build & install it in OSGeo $HOME,
for example under custom locations:
$HOME/usr
$HOME/usr/bin
$HOME/usr/lib
...
Here is what is required to install in order to run buildbot:

On geodata.telascience.org I have installed a series of well
known software packages into /usr/local/, a list is here:
Yum reports that python 2.4 and python-twisted are already installed, so
we should be good to go.

Frank,
Great!
I'm testing the Buildbot installation in my own env. first.
I've started to have some successful results
Mateusz,
once working I would be interested to get GRASS on top
of that (since it only needs PROJ and GDAL as minimum
requirement). I am not in a hurry, just to express my
interest.
Thanks for pushing the Buildbot installation forward!
Markus
I think I'll try to test it tonight or tomorrow on the xblade.

Yes. I consulted with Frank (I'm only a technical staff)
and "the intention is to expand it's use to various projects".
Thanks for pushing the Buildbot installation forward!
