Dear all,
Is raster-clipping with a polygon like the Arc/Info command gridclip
possible?
I know the way to zoom, and then r.mapcalc to a new map, but I
need not a rectangle but a irregularly form for clipping.
Thanks

Hello Dieter,
Create a raster-mask file (perhpaps via
digitizing an area, converting it into a raster file using v.to.rast) and
then use r.mapcalc and thereby delete all the raster information outside
the mask.
Hope this works !
Yours, Michael
