What are the options for drawing up a legal description from text?

In the Esri-verse, there’s a few different toolboxes for this. There’s also Deed Plotter. But is there a comparable FOSS option?

I don’t just mean putting in the distance/bearing on a single segment, mind you. I know the construction tools can do that. I want to take a text file of distances and bearings and have it construct the lines from that.

Does such a thing exist in the FOSS GIS space?

There’s a plugin called Azimuth and Distance for QGIS - I’ve used it (but not lately) - you can load up all the measurements and then import them. Rumor has it GRASS has a way to do this - but I’ve not done much digging in that area.
