Is it possible to reduce the minimum character size of a post on Discourse? Currently, the minimum size is set to 20 characters.
So, as an example, we can’t just give +1 vote to a proposal, we need to write additional 18 chars to make it as a valid post. This can be considered as a positive point though, but just wondering if we have that option. Earlier, in emails, there was no minimum character limit imposed.
I was thinking the same thing. I’ve changed min post size to 2 characters and min first post size to 10 characters.
I figure only people who have posted before will be doing things like a +1 and all new people should at least type 10 characters.
If we start getting spam, I’ll raise this, but I think we have already many things to prevent that.

Looks like there are some additional checks when sending a message.
So, “th” worked, but “TY” failed, although the latter one is a formal acronym used in messages.
