FOSS4G Auckland, who is going?

I know FOSS4G is just around the corner, and your hearts are already in Mostar, and soon you’ll be bringing everything else there.
But there’s another FOSS4G coming up, albeit quite far away for some of you, in Auckland, New Zealand. Anyone planning to go? The call for papers closes tomorrow.
I apologize in advance for the short notice. :alarm_clock:
I’m wondering if you’d be interested in collaborating on the following items we’d like to submit:

State of Geonetwork: Please let me know if you’d like to be added as a presenter or if you have updates to share.

GeoNetwork Workshop: Please let me know if you’d like to be added to the workshop team.

Please let me know ASAP, ciao

Happy to help if I am present!

Hi Antonio,

Just to let you know, Camptocamp decided to not going to the FOSS4G Auckland this year. It’s too far and unfortunately would be a too big carbon footprint for 3 days of conference.

Have fun for those who go.
Cheers

I am happy to help.

Did a similar GN workshop and presentation in Auckland with Jeroen 2 years ago for FOSS4G Oceeania.

Plus I am sure to be there as I live in NZ, on the organising commitee!

Hi Antonio,

Sorry for the late reply. I have been preoccupied with family matters.

Yes I am happy to help out. Will need to get up to speed with what is happening with GN5 development!

I decided this year not to submit any talks or workshops of my own to be more able to assist with the organising committee and participate more freely. So assisting you works well for me.

In scheduling the workshops with the committee, it was noted that Jody, who is listed as a co-presenter with yourself, has his name on 5 workshops but there are only 4workshop time slots. So by filling in for Jody, this problem is removed.

My email address for everything FOSS4G is byron@openwork.nz.

Cheers

Hi Byron,

Yeah the workshop is Getting Started with GeoNetwork 5: A Hands-On Developer Workshop since as a developer I am excited about the new project.

I was going to stick with this one and withdraw the “GeoTools DataStore Workshop” as it is more of a “level 2” workshop that requires some familiarity of a GeoTools Introduction workshop.

Thanks Byron! Your help is greatly appreciated!
