About the Project
Earth Data Kit (EDK) is an open-source toolkit to make large-scale satellite and geospatial data analysis faster, simpler, and more accessible. We’re building tools that help researchers, analysts, and developers work seamlessly with petabyte-scale Earth datasets.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain earth-data-kit repository and build new features
- Work on interactive interfaces for geospatial data visualization and exploration
- Collaborate with geospatial scientists, ML researchers, and designers to develop user-friendly tools
- Research, develop, integrate best-in-class open-source tooling making them work together seamlessly.
- Contribute to open-source development practices (we use GitHub for everything)
Who You Are
- 2–4 years of professional full-stack experience
- Experience working with geospatial data is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable debugging and improving the performance of large-scale data pipelines, visualization engines
- Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently
- Passionate about open-source, climate, science, or just building things that matter
