Dear list,
I am sorry for posting again. I think I found the root cause of the problem but still have problem fixing it.
I think since I have changed the default port from 8080 to 8181, this problem has been created.
When I load the thumbnail image, the file uploads correctly but ‘resources.get’ refers to:
Which of course is none-existent and it should refer to ‘http:/localhost:8181’. However I don’t know where could I change the snippet template so that it will refer to the correct address.
I appreciate your comments very much.
EJ

Dear list,
My metadata thumbnails upload correctly into the /var/lib/tomcat7/webapps/geonetwork/WEB-INF/data/data/metadata_data …00000-00099/<number>/public folders and the owner is tomcat6 but they don’t load in the metadata page. If I use an image with url it properly shows. I wonder what is the problem. I am using geonetwork 2.10.4 on Ubuntu.
Thank you,
EJ
Did you also changed the port on the settings table?

Dear Maria,
Thank you for the reply.
Since my application is running on a vritual machine over another server, geonetwork didn’t know where to send Metadata links other than localhost:8080. So I changed the setting to my external IP and everything works now. I am using ‘ngrok’ to test the application without hassle of tunnelling the application outside the system so at first I didn’t realize what was the problem.
Thank you,
EJ
