[GeoNetwork-devel] How to get the correct uuid when update is done

Hi

I have to update the metadata using the url as follows http://localhost:8080/geonetwork/srv/en/metadata.update ,now what happens is that when insert.metadata was done a new uuid other than what is present in the file gets saved in the database,for instance the uuid present in the file is c8dd9ac5-ff78-4ab5-ada2-69b4132f99fc but after inserting the file the uuid gets changed in the DB and it always ends up with insert scenario is there any method to keep the uuid unchanged
