[GeoNetwork-devel] ISO-19139 to GeoDCAT-ap 2 mapping

Hello All,

In the context of a project for NGI (https://www.ngi.be/), we are planning on implementing a mapping for ISO 19139 INSPIRE metadata to GeoDCAT 2 standard.

Our goal would be to replace the current ISO 19319 to DCAT mapping (https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/blob/main/schemas/iso19139/src/main/plugin/iso19139/layout/tpl-rdf.xsl) with a fully implemented and generic GeoDCAT-ap 2 mapping.

Of course, we would like to contribute with this script to the official GeoNetwork repository.

As such, we would like to know how likely would it be possible to integrate our future mapping into GeoNetwork ?

Is it something that could replace the current mapping, or should it be a new API endpoint ?

If I recall correctly, the current RDF export endpoint was disabled for Elasticsearch. (E.g https://metawal.wallonie.be/geonetwork/srv/api/records?hitsPerPage=1&from=1)

This means we would also re-implement this feature for ES if needed.

With Kind regards,

Mathieu Chaussier

Hi,

The ogc-api-records microservice, part of the geonetwork-microservices project and compatible with GN4, already provides a GeoDCAT-API compliant export.

If all you need is an output in GeoDCAT-AP and you are using GeoNetwork 4 then I think this should provide most of what you’re looking for. Of course the microservice can benefit from improvements if you identify any!
