[GeoNetwork-devel] Mandatory and optional fields in ISO

Hi all,
In GeoNetwork 2.2 we had clear markings for fields that were mandatory or conditionally required in the ISO standard AFAIK, Ik the version 2.4.0 I miss this information and I'm not sure why it was removed. I am personally not in favor of hiding this information. Anyone knows about this issue?
Thanks in advance, ciao,
Jeroen

Hi Jeroen,

It was removed in the BlueNetMEST code that was merged in to the editor. I'll restore it to the trunk code shortly.

Cheers,
Simon

Hello Jeroen & Simon

2009/5/29 <Simon.Pigot@anonymised.com>:

It was removed in the BlueNetMEST code that was merged in to the editor. I'll restore it to the trunk code shortly.

Could we retrieve this information from schema or from labels.xml
mandatory flag ?

Ciao. Francois

Cheers,
Simon

Hi Francois,

I think schema is safest for the mandatory test - the labels file is kind of hard to use I think because the same element can get used in different places in the xml tree eg. extent is conditional in MD_DataIdentification if hierarchyLevel is dataset and optional elsewhere.

Cheers,
Simon
