I realized that the commit I ported back to 2.8 had 2 changes.
- Memory leak
- A buggy implementation of update popularity.
I ported both back rather than just 1 without thinking about it.
The update popularity change wasn’t tested correctly and shouldn’t have been back ported. I have put the fix on 2.8.x branch.
To reproduce the bug:
- Search for a metadata in the all text field (make a search so only a couple metadata show up)
- view metadata
- Perform search again. The metadata no longer shows up.
It was a dumb mistake on my part and I apologize for the error.

No problem, seem no signs still about 2.8.0 release. When this happens, just should update to latest revision create the final installer.
