[GeoNetwork-devel] Metadata data storage in nextcloud?

Hi, has anyone tried to store uploaded data into a nextcloud server ?

JCloud does not look to support that.

2 approaches maybe:

  • use nextcloud external storage to mount the data dir directly in readonly mode (using the default filesystem store)
  • or use the webdav API of nextcloud.

Also would it make sense to have a folder structure simply based on UUID instead of a group of 100 records as first level folder, then db id folder and make this configurable ?

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Francois

To me it makes sense to define a WebDAV connector instead something specific for Nextcloud.

Using just the UUID can create huge index pages that take a lot of time to load if you have many records. It also will create the same files per directory limits problems in the backend than using local storage.
