Hi Florent,
Did I understand correctly that you attended the last OGC / OSGeo code sprint in Portugal? I am curious to hear what developments took place there related to GeoNetwork and OGCAPI- Records? Were you able to contribute something related to faceted search?
Thanks in advance! Cheers,
Jeroen

Hi Jeroen and GN users,
Yes I did attend the OsGeo & code sprint event in Portugal.
I wanted the facet proposal to be finalized with the other members of the OGC Records group, which is done : we agreed on a finalized version of the proposal.
The next steps are
- Tom Kralidis to bootstrap the specification documents in the ogc records repository
- All of us to write the specification, regarding what we concluded
At the same time, as mentioned by Tom in Lausanne last year, it’s great if the solutions can provide an implementation of the facets to support the proposal. I haven’t worked on that personally so actually nothing happened regarding GeoNetwork yet. Tom and Paul already did something for PyCSW though.
That said, we should think of starting this work within the GN community !
Cheers

Hi Florent,
Thanks for that update! Indeed we have to get this discussion going within the GN community. Let’s discuss about it during the next PSC meeting (through email also of course for those that want to be involved).
Have a nice weekend,
Jeroen

Hi Florent, François, Jose and others,
Next week is the OGC Member Meeting in Delft - NL as you know. There will be meetings on DCAT, GeoDCAT (both on Wednesday) and related topics. I haven’t seen anything specific to OGC API Records.
My questions to you:
-
Is there something I can do to support the work on the implementation of the OGC API (Records, other?) standard(s)?
-
Same question related to contributions to the specification working groups?
and
- I did not find where the writing of OGC API Records part 2 takes place. Do you have a link for me?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Jeroen

Hi Ticheler
About the link to part 2, I see a link in https://github.com/opengeospatial/ogcapi-records?tab=readme-ov-file#opensearch, not sure if that is what you are looking for.

Jose García

Hello Jeroen,
Next week is the OGC Member Meeting in Delft - NL as you know. There will be meetings on DCAT, GeoDCAT (both on Wednesday) and related topics. I haven’t seen anything specific to OGC API Records.
Ok interesting, I’ll see if I can attend remotely.
My questions to you:

So far we are waiting for Tom to bootstrap the specification within the OGC Records repository.
- Same question related to contributions to the specification working groups?
- I did not find where the writing of OGC API Records part 2 takes place. Do you have a link for me?
I think that it’s not official yet, but during the discussions with the group, it appeared that the facet spec would be the records part 2.
I don’t have much to add unfortunately.
Have a great conference.
