Dear all,

I am reaching out because the GeoNetwork version installed in OSGeoLive is still 3.2.x
Can someone please update the OSGeoLive installer for a more recent (3.12.x) release?

For the OSGeoLive we run the following installer when creating the iso:
https://github.com/OSGeo/OSGeoLive/blob/master/bin/install_geonetwork.sh
Configuration files are here:
https://github.com/OSGeo/OSGeoLive/tree/master/app-conf/geonetwork

Is Java 8 installed in the VM? If it is, what’s the path I can use as JAVA_HOME for GN>

Hi,

The default Java in OSGeoLive is 8. We have patched the upstream java-common debian package (Java 11 was default in Ubuntu Jammy):
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/604013449/java-common_0.72build2_0.72build2+osgeolive0.diff.gz

The Java path is
/usr/lib/jvm/default-java/bin/java
