[GeoNetwork-devel] persistency of fileidentifiers

We have recently changed to using version 3.0 of GeoNetwork and all the records that come via WAF nodes have had their fileidentifiers changed. Having searched the posts and tickets this would seem to be a longstanding quirk. Does anyone have any advice how to circumvent this as the metadata standard we use explicitly states that fileidentifiers should not change.

Thank you

Gaynor

Hi

Was it working fine in 2.x versions?

Checking the commit history of the webdav package for 3.4.x version: https://github.com/geonetwork/core-geonetwork/commits/3.4.x/harvesters/src/main/java/org/fao/geonet/kernel/harvest/harvester/webdav, I don’t see any commit related to changes in the uuid policy used, unless could be committed as part of other change and not documented properly in the commit.

Regards,
Jose García
