[GeoNetwork-devel] Plugin profiles: schemaLocation for schema-ident.xsd

Hi

In schema profiles the file schema-ident.xml has this:

xsi:schemaLocation=“http://geonetwork-opensource.org/schemas/schema-ident http://geonetwork-opensource.org/schemas/schema-ident/schema-ident.xsd

but that URL doesn’t exists. The xsd file is local to GeoNetwork installation: xml/validation/schemaPlugins/schema-ident.xsd

Should not be better to use local path in schemaLocation (or publish the xsd online)?

If using relative paths, no clear with new data directory structure what would be the correct relative path to xsd.

Thanks and regards,
Jose García

I believe that the Xml Resolver is supposed to resolve that correctly.

Yep - The oasis catalog in WEB-INF/oasis-catalog.xml remaps that url to the local file ../xml/validation/schemaPlugins/schema-ident.xsd.

Giving the schemas we use in GN to validate config files a home outside of the installation is one way to make them available to anyone who might want to access them - the intention was/is to create this dir for that reason but on the downside its one extra thing to maintain.

Cheers,
Simon
