[GeoNetwork-users] ArcCatalog and Geonetwork

Hi all,

I´m new to Geonetwork, and I would like to know if there is a way of using
ArcCatalog's generated XMLs with the application.
The problem is that ArcCatalog doesn´t use ISO 19115.

I tried to change the dtd but it didn´t work...

Thanks in advance.

Hi Francisco, one way to do that is to do the mapping from ESRI profil to
ISO FDIS used in Geonetwork. I started the job using XSLT ... Only a few
tags are mapped and some of us are hardcoded. This was just to get some info
from ArcCatalog to Geonetwork.

Which schema will be implemented in the new version of Geonetwork ?
ISO-19139 ?

Francois

Excellent!
We will use ISO19139, but we really can't start using it until we have access to the next release. All information I have on that is that it will probably not be available until September.
