[GeoNetwork-users] Bad Gateway ?

HI
I am new to GeoNetwork.
When trying to connect to http://geonetwork-opensource.org/ i keep
getting this message:
"Bad Gateway
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server."

Is there something wrong, or do i have to keep on investigating on my
side.

Is there a GeoNetwork IRC channel?

Best Regards
Theuns Heydenrych

Unfortunately it's down and according to an archived thread from one of
these lists (I can't find it just now), it's not going to be up for a
while.
As someone else new I agree this is irksome given it puts much of the
documentation out of reach. Fortunately the basic documentation is
included in the releases anyway (for 2.4.3 its found in
/geonetwork-install-directory/web/geonetwork/docs/en ).
The two websites that do work (though unfortunately not newbie oriented):
http://trac.osgeo.org/geonetwork/ - developer stuff
and
http://sourceforge.net/projects/geonetwork/ - you can download it from
here

The top results for a Google search on "geonetwork" lead to
http://geonetwork-opensource.org/, see:

So I think it is important for the visibility of the project/product to
ensure that this address is working. At a minimum setup a redirect to
something like http://sourceforge.net/projects/geonetwork/ and
definitely not wait a couple of months before setting up a new site.

Actually, most other OSGeo projects have already moved to the new
Projects VM on OSGeo's new servers. Is there something that prevents
GeoNetwork's website from being moved there as well?
