[GeoNetwork-users] catalog associated with MEF

Hi all,

I migrated from Geosource to Geonetwork.
All the metadata from Geosource were exported to MEF files with GAST and then imported to Geosource.

Doing this I lost the previews, some of the metadatas lost their title, and so on.
As I have not too many files, I still prefer to remake them from scratch.

The point is that the import associated the name of the previous Geosource catalog with the metadata. And wether I delete these metadata or not,
this catalog name is still in my research list and maybe confusing.
See joined image :
geosource-sigeo is the catalog I'd like to remove from the list
ca-sigeo is our current catalog

Any idea to remove this unused catalog?

Regards,
Jules

Hi.

My tests decided me too to export a geosource zip and to import it.
All is imported : metadata, thumnails.
I met any problem but I advise to do it by "paquet" to be sure that nothing
is lost.

PS : I think this post should better be posted in the "geonetwork users fr",
no ?

Hi,

thank you for your response.

So how do you create your geosource zip? is it something else than exporting MEF files from Gast?

Any idea about the original question, how to remove an unused catalog name in the search list?

You should try to create your zip using multiple action on selected
metadata.

Any idea about the original question, how to remove an unused catalog
name in the search list?

This list is built from database and settings. To remove the older reference
to "geosource-sigeo" you have to check from both :
- your settings, on the administration page, to be sure your local name
(siteId) is "ca-sigeo".
- the content of the "Sources" table in your database.

HTH,

Cheers,
Mathieu
