[GeoNetwork-users] Configuring Distribution Info using 2.1

Hi,

I've installed GeoNetwork 2.1 and have created a couple of metadata
records using the ISO 19139 template to test the functionality.

I'm using localhost to run GeoNetwork on port 8085 and GeoServer on port
8090 to serve WMS.

Everything seems to work except for configuring the Distribution Info.

What information is expected in each of the fields under the OnLine
Resource? The help documentation shows fields that do not exist on the
metadata template.

I'm trying to establish a connection to a WMS served from GeoServer, as
well as a zip or pdf file to be used as a download.

It appears that the Description field displayed in the metadata record
is used as a hyperlink pointing to the URL. However an error on the page
is presented when the link is pressed.

Every combination of information has been tried in the fields without
success.

Can someone give me some working examples of what to use?

In addition, if I use a URL in a browser to point to the intermap
application, eg. http://localhost:8085/intermap I get a page with
Service not found. Is this part of the reason that the Interactive Map
button on a Metadata record does nothing?

Regards...

Geoff

Do you get the interactive map in the GeoNetwork homepage?

The required information fro WMS services is:
link (base URL to the server, in this case http://localhost:8090/geoserver/wms)
protocol (WMS map service)
name (layer name you want to be displayed)
optionally a description

Ciao,
Jeroen

I have configured the interactive map on the home page to point to a DEMIS
image.

I had already tried your suggestion for the URL, Protocol, Name and
Description fields without success.
Please refer to attached file for details of error.
