[GeoNetwork-users] CSW Transaction Delete

Hi all,

i'm trying the transaction functions with CSW protocol.

Is there any constraint about the uuid (metadata identifier?)

Everything works if the idenfier is something like
bf7ab961-a69f-48e9-a6da-61c207de86d6

I can insert and delete metadata.

The problem comes when I try to use an identifier like
AAA_BBB_CCC_20100101203020

(so characters, numbers and some underscore).

I can insert correctly the metadata, but I can't delete it.

Any ideas?

Regards
Marco

I believe that the system expects the UUID to adhere to it specified
format.

Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius,
power, and magic in it.

mmm ok. But it's strange that it accept other formats on 'insert' but not
in 'delete'....
Anyway I said UUID because I looked into the code, finding uuid... but in the
metadata that field is called 'fileIdentifier', so I supposed I can insert
something else.

Can you find the record using a GetRecords operation with a filter on
UUID after insert ?
You could check the value of the uuid in the index using Luke maybe to
see if "_" or upper case letter is the problem ?

Cheers.

Francois

Hello Francois,

I tried with GetRecordbyID and I can find the metadata.
I also looked into the DB and the identifier is stored correctly.
Just csw delete gives the problem.
