Dear list,
I am running a GN 3.12.2.0. When I try to change the publication rights for my metadata records I get a NullPointerException. This worked well in former times. As it is not under heavy use I can not tell when this error ocurred for the first time. I tried to change the rights with different useres of new and old records, the result is always the error. The error is displayed in my web frontend. If I tail my logfiles, ntohing is written there, which is kind of strange. I know that this kind of error is very unspecific, but any hint is much appreciated.

Is it an option for you to try with the latest version 3.12.7?
I assume you are using the metadata privileges dialog, does it happen
always or with a certain change of privileges? Can you add some examples of
the privileges changes you are doing? Also do you have the metadata
workflow enabled?

Hi Andreas
The privileges dialog to share the metadata with other groups should work
with and without the workflow enabled.
I understand you have the workflow enabled in certain groups, and for that
metadata you can change the privileges, but for other records that doesn't
have the workflow enabled the privileges dialog doesn't work? If that's the
case, that seems like a bug, please if you can open a ticket in GitHub.
