Jody Garnett here from the developer team to share some of the sponsorship
opportunities identified for the GeoNetwork project.
The following activities are beyond the reach of a single developer or
organization will provide sponsorship (financial and in-kind) opportunities
in the year ahead:
- Upgrade to spring-framework-6
- Migrate from AngularJS to Angular user-interface framework
- DCAT Data Catalog Vocabulary
- Upgrade to Saxon HE XSLT Engine

recommended sponsorships levels for individuals, small organizations, and
large organizations.
I am happy to answer any questions on the mechanics of how to sponsor the
project via OSGeo / GitHub / PayPal. I will say straight up that OSGeo is
non-profit but not a charity (so this is not a tax write off). Also
sponsorship is about sustainability (addressing a shared challenge or
providing an operations budget to the project steering committee) and not
an alternative to commercial support.
