[GeoNetwork-users] GN 4.0.6 - home page search

Dear list,

I have Geonetwork version 4.0.6 installed on a tomcat 9 instance.

https://metadata.naturalsciences.be

I noticed that when I do a search in the main page for a keyword (e.g. marine), I get redirected to the search tab with the following url:

https://metadata.naturalsciences.be/geonetwork/srv/eng/catalog.search#/search

The issue is that the keyword is not passed in the search and so it just gives me everything. If I do the same search in the search tab, it works as it should

https://metadata.naturalsciences.be/geonetwork/srv/eng/catalog.search#/search?isTemplate=n&resourceTemporalDateRange={"range":{"resourceTemporalDateRange":{"gte":null,"lte":null,"relation":"intersects"}}}&sortBy=relevance&any=marine&from=1&to=20

Is this a bug?

Nice catalog.
Did you customize your home page ?
I checked a fresh GN4 4.0.6.x version and it seems to work:

It's definitly a bug though.
I haven't checked on the released version as we build our own instances.

Maybe someelse could confirm

RBINS metadata catalog

Thank you for you answer.

Yes I customized the home page. Thanks for checking that the fresh GN works as it should. Some elements from the previous GN version where still in my home.html file which I guess messed up with the new GN search engine.
I started from scratch and it seems to be solved.
