[GeoNetwork-users] Have rebuild database and loaded GN but still get WARNING: CORRUPT DATA IN DATABASE: No localization found for record in table Groups with id: 2, skipping it. errors

Hi All,

Thanks to Jesse I have been able to rebuild the postgis database and
start GN. I have had to copy by hand all the content from the original
GN into the new one. During that process I have been adding the 'groups'
using the administration interface. I keep on getting the following in
the catalina.out file:

WARNING: CORRUPT DATA IN DATABASE: No localization found for record in
table Groups with id: 2, skipping it.

Does anyone know what this is? Will it mean that all my work will be in
vane?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi All,

Many thanks for Jesse's comments and Heikki's and Jose's presentation on
"Mastering Advanced GeoNetwork" at URL
http://geonetwork-opensource.org/_static/foss4g2010/FOSS4G_Mastering_Adv
anced_GeoNetwork.pdf.

I have been able to rebuild the database but unable to load the database
dump from postgresql version 8.3 (the old GN setup) to postgresql
version 8.4 (the new GN setup). However, I have started copying and
pasting the content from one GN setup to another. It looks like about
three days work and I'm about half way through it. Having said that, I
am still happier than before because I now know why the errors were
occuring (the database was not a postgis database), learnt a lot about
the GN database structure and have now been able to load by hand the
metadata and it isn't creating errors!

So many thanks to those on this list who have helped.

Hi,

I just think this means that you need to add translations for
your groups. This really is just a warning. I am not sure
the fix, I think you might be able to go to the
/geonetwork/srv/eng/localization and descriptions to all your
groups (just english in your case most likely).

Or perhaps you will have to edit the table directly. What I
just went through this myself and what I did was I created a
empty postgis database and started vanilla geonetwork
configured to use that database. Then I compared my
configuration against the clean one.
