[GeoNetwork-users] How to integrate MapServer instead of Intermap

Hello list,

starting the new year I made an upgrade to GN2.2. Now I'm going to customize the application.

I'm using MapServer for publishing spatial data. So I would like to integrate MapServer in GN instead of Intermap. Does anyone tried to change the mapping application? Which files have to be modified?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Best regards,
Christian

Hi Christian,
InterMap is not the same as MapServer. InterMap is only a web client application while MapServer can serve up the maps. So you can use MapServer to run your WMS services and then visualize them in InterMap. This is what we do for all the services at the FAO for instance.
Ciao,
Jeroen
