I'm sort of beginning with geonetwork.
I have to permit filling some extra information like price of the data,
contact for distribution for off-line data and some other fields that don't
seem to be in the current GN ISO19139 formular.
I may be wrong, but i believe they are part of the ISO19115. Have they been
removed from the ISO19139 spec ? Or is it just that the GN's ISO19139
profile is not complete ?
What shall i do to add these functionnalities ?
Thanks
I can only answer your questions regarding the ISO 19115 standard and ISO 19139 specification but not GN. Please see comments below:

Yes.
The 'fees' element is in the MD_StandardOrderProcess class.
The 'offLine' element is in the MD_DigitalTranserOptions class.
Both of the above elements, and many more, are in the MD_Distribution package.
Have they been
removed from the ISO19139 spec ?
I don't believe so. I have found all the above elements in the ./gmd/distribution.xsd XSD.
Or is it just that the GN's ISO19139
profile is not complete ?
What shall i do to add these functionnalities ?
I didn't find it in the schemas.
OK then, i'll have to looks a bit more in the XSD to see where it should
appera in the GN interface : i still can't find it...
Thank you for your help !

Hi Jean,
The schemas have not been modified, so the fields should be there. If you can't find them in the default view, use the advanced view and you should normally be able to add them from there. If you still can't find them, try to make the required part of the document in XML format and use the XML edit view to update the XML file. That should then also make the fields useable in the advanced view and possibly in the default view.
Ciao,

What shall i do to add these functionnalities ?
creating a new iso19139 metadata (using vector profile), the above
mentionned parts ('fees' and so on) are not present, even in the xml view. I
can find the <gmd:MD_Distribution> part, but it does not provide
MD_StandardOrderProcess sections. In the advanced view neither.
Do you mean i should add it manually in the xml view, and THEN, it will be
displayed in the other views ?
If yes, so, what is the pb ? I believe there are things I still don't
understand : where do the base metadata come from ? I believed it was an xml
squeletton automatically generated by the xsd specifications. But i suppose
i'm wrong. So where is it stored, basically ? I mean, the templates (iso
19139 for vector, iso 19139 for raster, dublin-core and fgdc-std) ?
Thanks

? It is wonderfully helpful in understanding how the stylesheets, schemas, and associated XML files work together to create what the user sees on the screen. After reading that document, I was able to install a totally new, non-ISO schema/template into a GeoNetwork instance in a matter of hours.
