[GeoNetwork-users] Metadata extent map region.getmap.png

Hi All

I have a new 3.2.1 instance and I am having some issues getting the map
within the metadata record to show OSM background. I'd like to know if this
is happening with other instances of 3.2.1

I have played with the extents in my metadata but they seem correct to me.
 E.g.

http://clientsite/geonetwork/srv/eng/region.getmap.png?
mapsrs=EPSG%3A3857&width=500&background=osm&geomsrs=EPSG%
3A4326&geom=POLYGON%28%28145.873985408+-37.023423653500004%
2C145.873985408+-36.424608124%2C144.784766528+-36.424608124%
2C144.784766528+-37.023423653500004%2C145.873985408+-37.023423653500004%
29%292

When I use debug tools in my metadata record I can see some OSM tiles being
called but they are initial extent tiles. When I run my region.getmap.png
call independently I don't see those tiles however I am unsure exactly how
this service functions, whether it overlays the extent over tiles or it
mosaics the tiles and renders the bbox over it.

Anyone confirm the issue? Is there anything i can do to test the service?

Hi, this class is responsible for generating map in metadata record view

background layers are taken from here

Thanks for that. Gives me some more context.

So this is not happening for anyone else?

Can anyone confirm whether the call to OSM for the background layer happens
on the server or on the client? Perhaps I just need to have the server
firewall adjusted to allow the call.

Hi,

The requests to OSM are sent from the server.
You need to be sure your server can reach the tiles.
