[GeoNetwork-users] Metadata management help needed

Hi,

Deletion: What is the suggested way of deleting a metadata record? Is it
to log in as the owner of the metadata then click the Delete button? At
some point after that, should a database compress be applied?

Importing: It appears that Batch Import is only an option for the
GeoNetwork administrator. After importing multiple files from various
providers, is there a way to assign ownership of the individual metadata
records to one or more metadata editors (i.e., I'm doing them a favor by
importing everyone's data initially but then I want them to take over the
maintenance)?

Exporting: I've tried to use GAST to export metadata into .MEF files but I
haven't found a way to convert that and/or bring it into other software.
Page 6 of
http://geonetwork3.fao.org/workshops/workshop2007/GeoNetwork%20MEF%206-11-2007.pdf
suggests that .MEF files can have multiple components but I only see one
binary .MEF file corresponding to each exported record. In the same
presentation and in the help I see reference to a URL export, e.g.,
/geonetwork/en/mef.export but when I try that there is an error:
MissingParameterEx : uuid

Thanks for any help!

Regards, Bob
