I'm trying to get geoNetwork working with a Postgres 8.3 database, Windows XP SP3, GeoNetwork 2.2.
When I run the db setup in GAST, things go OK to 92% progress (Filling Table CategoriesDes), then I get a PSQL exception
'setObject(i,Null) is not supported. Instead use setNull(i,Type) or setObject(i,null, type)'.
I can close the alert dialog, and the setup progress window goes away, but when I try to create data, there are no templates in the template list.
I notice a posting on what appears to be the same problem from Mar. 13, 2008 (Felipe dos Santos Costa).
Any ideas for solution?
thanks
steve

Hi Richard,
Yes, this is a problem that sometimes happens on Windows XP. It is not related to Postgres. After this installation, all is fine, except that the sample metadata was not loaded. you can use GAST once more to import the sample metadata manually. You will have to point the GAST metadata import to the folder ../gast/setup/sample-data and after that you should be all set.
Ciao,
Jeroen
