The Geoportal of Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa (TML) is the main platform for accessing, exploring and disseminating geospatial information related to mobility and public transport across the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
Developed as part of TML’s Spatial Data Infrastructure, the geoportal was designed to centralize and make available geospatial information from the 18 municipalities of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, as well as from different operators and entities involved in the metropolitan mobility ecosystem.
The platform integrates a wide range of spatial datasets related to public transport networks, bus stops, routes, lines, stations, interchanges, parking capacity, territorial infrastructure and other strategic themes supporting metropolitan mobility management.
Built on an open source and interoperable architecture based on OGC standards, the TML Geoportal enables not only cartographic visualization, but also access to geospatial web services, APIs, thematic dashboards, statistical charts, tables and spatial analysis tools designed to support technical and operational decision-making.
Beyond its technical and internal use, the geoportal also serves as a public access platform, promoting transparency and wider access to geospatial information for public authorities, technical users, stakeholders and the general public.
The solution was designed to ensure interoperability with any system compliant with OGC standards, supporting an open, scalable and integrated approach to territorial and mobility data management at metropolitan scale.
