GeoServer 2.25.5 artifacts ready for testing

Hi all,
the GeoServer 2.25.5 release artifacts are ready for early testing:
https://build.geoserver.org/view/release/job/geoserver-release/155/artifact/distribution/2.25.5/

I gave the bin package a quick spin on Linux, Java 17, it worked fine. Anyone else wants to give it a go?

@aaime-geosolutions, I took a quick look on Jenkins, hoping to trigger a build for the 2.25.x docker image, so that I could test it, but it appears as though the last successful build was 27 days ago, and the error is:

Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at unix:///var/run/docker.sock. Is the docker daemon running?

How do I fix this so that I can test for you?

Peter

Unsure, I had no part in setting up that build… the build should be triggered as part of the release-publish step, I’m not sure it would work at all if GeoServer 2.25.5 is not released before it’s run?

First time I look at it, but it seems relatively straighforward:

By the looks of release.sh, it seems it relies on having GeoServer already published on SF, but I may be wrong.

Cheers
Andrea

By the way, I reached out to Alessandro Parma, he re-started the docker service.
It’s set up to start automatically, but on the last server restart, for unknown reasons, it failed to do so.

Cheers
Andrea

Yes, absolutely, that is the case for 2.25.5 (release)

However, I wanted to trigger it for 2.25.x (nightly), which I have just done successfully, thanks.

I have now got docker 2.25.x running with my data, checking it out. FYI, the revisions should match your Jenkins jobs exactly:
