Hi all,
The GeoServer team is pleased to announce our latest GeoServer 3.0.2 release:
We also have some releases for those upgrading to GeoServer 3 above:
As noted in GeoServer Security Update we are, along with many other software projects, experiencing a wave of vulnerability reports generated with AI assistance.
With this in mind we advise everyone that these updates are important, and details will be provided at the start of November.
Some nice things:
- This is the first time GeoServer Cloud has made releases alongside GeoServer 3.
- Each release is complete with amd64 / arm64 Docker images: Manually created this time out, and we will look at how to automate in the future.
- OGCAPI Maps 1.0 support is now available as a community module!
- GeoFence is now available for GeoServer 3, completing the GeoServer 3 Crowdfunding “M4” milestone and winding up that activity
- FIPS community module swaps in and out lots of GeoServer cryptography modules in order to match the FIP 140-3 US Government Standard.
I would like to thank the usual suspects (and our employers): Jody Garnett (GeoCat) and Peter Smythe (AfriGIS) for making releases, Andrea Aime (GeoSolutions) for testing, and Gabriel Roldan (Camptocamp) for bringing GeoServer Cloud to the party.
I perhaps do not say this often enough, but an effective way to support GeoServer is to work with our core contributors who make these releases happen, or sponsor the project via OSGeo.
Thanks and happy mapping!
