[Geoserver-devel] blog post for 2.1-RC1

Hi all,

I whipped up a rough draft of a blog post for 2.1-RC1. I am sure I am missing things worth mentioning so please add them accordingly. Also as it is a draft please feel free to fix or tweak any of the grammer, etc…

What about adding a mention of the raster reprojection speedup?
With the fixes that went in RC1 it's actually quite good.
All the details about that work are here:

Will do. Just to clarify though were those changes actually added for beta3 with continued improvements for RC1?

Yep, but in beta3 there still were some annoyances with tiled output
that have been fixed in the meantime (issues that were there in the stable
series and so on, they weren't new bugs), we wanted to make it better before
announcing to a larger audience
