[Geoserver-devel] Community handling proposal ready, let's start the discussion

Hi all,
here is the proposal:
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOS/Community+module+handling

Any opinion, improvement, correction, counter proposal?
Cheers
Andrea

Thanks for writing that up Andrea, I often wish people would write up a wiki page before emailing the developer list (so they have a chance to organize their thoughts before being asked a bunch of tough questions). You may also ask them to stop by an weekly IRC meeting if they want to chat about their ideas and refine them.

Cheers,
Jody

I don't quite understand what you're asking me to do... a proposal
wiki page? I thought to heavily reuse the gt2 one and adapt to
geoserver, the procedure is largely the same.
About IRC, since the proposal is out in time, the geoserver meeting
seems the right place to discuss it, and mail allow for expressing
concerns before it (thought I did not expect many since more or
less the same people approved the gt2 one).

But anyways, just express your needs/impressions/opinions
and I'll try to act on them

Cheers
Andrea

I was offering advice based on the experience of the gt2 procedure; it may be wise to ask people to write up a wiki page before emailing the list.

Understood.

So the above idea about writing up a page before emailing the list? Is it a good one? Perhaps; perhaps not.
