[Geoserver-devel] data in community-schema community module

Hi Gabriel,

I just did an update and noticed your community module. I also noticed
that the checkout included the entire release configuration :(. I was
wondering if you could create yourself a configuration under
http://svn.codehaus.org/geoserver/trunk/configuration instead of storing
it in the source tree as we have done with the other configurations.

Thanks,

-Justin

I also noticed that the web module has a 'minimal' configuration, and wasn't sure if that was by design? I could see it being that web wants to always be able to build a geoserver that can at least run...

Yup it was put there to ensure that people can build geoserver if they
just check out the source.. If you do an update you will notice a little
"X" when you try to update it. Which means its actually the one stored
under the configuration directory, just liked using the svn:externals
property.

Geoserver does run with minimal (unless there are still bugs around)... it's just that you don't have any data in it.

Cheers
Andrea

oops sorry,
but once I svn move the config directory to /configuration how do I link it to
be the default for my web module?

thanks,

Gabriel

There are a number of ways listed here

http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDOC/2+Maven+Quickstart

in the "Building the Web Module". Personally i like using settings.xml.
