So the PostGIS tutorial doesn't seem to actually exist? (at least
not at the link given, always just a blank page). But I'm wondering if we
could do a sort of modular tutorial for all databases. Many of the steps
are exactly the same, the only difference is the vales on the DataStore.
We could/should share a page on the values with the individual DataStore
page, but we could embed the part that is just values, and do an include
or two on the tutorials. Then a user can go to the reference document, or
just use the step by step tutorial to walk them through it, with all the
nice pictures. Ideally we could fit shapefiles in as well, but that may
be a bit much, perhaps do another template thing for files, like MapInfo
and Shapefile.
At some point I think it would be worth looking in to the 'Directory
DataStore', that DavidZ started, so the easy route to shapefile is to just
upload there, indeed could make the 'shapefile wizard' be to do the same
thing as sld upload, and you send your zipped shape, which we unzip, and
throw any errors if there's already a file with the same name.
