I've set up a custom ResourceAccessManager which returns a CQL filter to limit the data. It works fine but the dataset is huge and so it takes a while to run. Is there a way to pass an SQL view parameter from ResourceAccessManager instead of filtering after the fact?
Thanks,
Edward
Hey Edward,
Not exactly sure what your set up is but it boils down to that your filter has to be one that the datasource can natively encode. If a data source can not natively encode a filter it is executed after the fact. Or in many cases the filter is split into two which the native part executing before hand and the rest executing after the fact.
Long story short it depends on exactly the kind of filter you are creating, and the type of data source being used. Your best bet to ensure the biggest chance of having a filter be natively encodable is to use a relational database like PostGIS.
