I actually do not work with Eclipse and GeoServer.
Let's ask the geoserver devel list and see if anyone has some insight. In general you should email the list first, as I often don't know the answer and sometimes will just not get to replying. Emailing the list pretty much guarantees some sort of answer.
best regards,
Chris

Hello,
We are looking into using and extending GeoServer and I am trying to set up a Tomcat + Eclipse + GeoServer development enviroment based on this document :
http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDOC/GeoServer+and+Eclipse+with+Tomcat
It states :
"Click on Add Variable and if not exists create a new variable called GEOSERVER pointing to the lib sub-directory of the GeoServer source directory. Highlight the GEOSERVER variable and click on Extend.... Now select all the listed jars, not the directories, and click OK twice."
Problem is, a "lib" directory is nowhere to be found. Can you point me in the right direction ?
I've checked out the the 1.5.x branch and i'm using Eclipse 3.2.2.
Kind Regards, Ivo Noorhoff

Hi Ivo,
That documentation page you found was ancient, I will remove it.
Refer to this one instead: http://docs.codehaus.org/display/GEOSDOC/Developer
