[Geoserver-devel] [Geoserver WMS returns black background instead of transparent for gif images]

Cameron,

when I go to this page:

GIF image:
http://localhost:8080/geoserver/wms?VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetMap&SERVICE=WMS&SRS=EPSG:4326&BBOX=141.57875,-44.26625,151.03125,-39.56375&WIDTH=400&HEIGHT=200&LAYERS=topp:tasmania_state_boundaries&FORMAT=image/gif&STYLES=green&TRANSPARENT=TRUE

I see a correct image.

I see your server is 1.3.0-beta3 - did you upgrade and find it worked?
I did quite a bit of changes to the .gif format for beta3.

Yes, I found the bug in 1.3.0-beta2. You have fixed it in 1.3.0-beta3.
Thanks.
