Hi PSC, all,
it took a while, but finally moved on ditching Predicate and adopting
OGC Filter for GSIP-69 API additions.
Proposal updated accordingly.
Please review and do not hesitate to comment as we're still on "Under
discussion" stage.
Current development branch is up to date with master:

Waiting for GeoTools' addition of InternalFunction patch to be
completely runnable. But since you can't wait, here is it:

Hi Gabriel,
had a round on the new set of patches, they do look good.
About the other concerns I expressed before, about the fact that only
a part of the
code was switched to use the new API, they are less of a concern now that we
have at least 4 more months to check the new API (particularly keen to try out
filtering catalog items via OGC filter in caps documents)
Thanks Andrea, so I guess we could formally move the proposal to "in
progress" state and ask the PSC for a vote.
Btw, I don't see anymore the JE based storage in the community section,
is it just an oversight on my part?
Withdrawn due to lack of resources to maintain them all. Also judged
people may be more interested in the jdbc implementation as its of
broader appliance. Tested on H2 and Postgres so far, DDL scripts exist
for mssql, oracle, and mysql too, although hadn't time to test on
them. But being a community module we can go on as interest arises
from the community.
Also, the bdb je one would suffer of the same lack of support for
multiple instances hitting the same db as the gwc quota store does, so
judged better stay away from that problem. That said, it could be
brought back if there's interest.
Cheers,
Gabriel
