[Geoserver-devel] Hum... no GWC releases?

Hi,
I’ve just noticed that there are no GWC releases in place for GeoServer
to build upon, and both master and 2.5.x are depending on GWC snapshot
releases

Suggestions?

Cheers
Andrea

I talked to Kevin and was going to ask him to build me one when the geotools build is ready.

I was trying to document windows install yesterday and was having no luck on windows 7. I with the 2.5.1 release. Think we will need some good testing / QA for this beta.

Can we have one for 2.5.x as well, out of the 1.5.x series? The geotools
build is ready.
Btw, I've just fixed a rare but deadly bug in GWC locking subsystem.

No luck == the installer does not work?

Cheers

Yeah that is why he wanted to cut a release. Send him an email on the GWC list when ready.

Worked but result does not run due to file permissions.

Actions:

  • changes shortcut to run as admin?
  • unpack data directory into program data rather than program files

Thanks, Jody. This would be good, but is not a blocker as we can depend on a manually-built milestone as a last resort. A formal GWC release would be better.

Kind regards,
Ben.
