I am Hemant Moharir from Pune.I am new in GEOSERVER.I have installed and configure geoserver.I have created one DATASOURCE using POSTGIS.But now i want to know how shapefiles dispaly from postgresql database.
Please tell me.It's Urgent.

Hi Hemant,
Welcome to GeoServer. So just so I understand your use case you have
some shapefiles that you would like to load into your postgis database?
This is easy, postgis comes with a command line tool called shp2pgsql
wihch does just that. Run the command with no arguments for its synopsis
and a list of the options. But usually its just something like this that
you want:
shp2pgsql <shapefile> <table> | psql <database>
