Ciao Ivan,
this is not an imageio-ext or geotools problem, this is how java works
wit native extensions.
There should be a way to solve the problem by deploying imageio-ext
native libs inside tomcat, I would google a bit for a solution.
I kind of remember we already ran into this problem, let me cc alessio
and daniele.
Ciao,
Simone.

Hello devs (Simone&Danielle),
If we have several geoservers deployed on single tomcat instance,
imageio ext is only loaded for first one, while for others error
(WARNING) is raised and imageio is not possible.

Before opening new JIRA I want to confirm that this is really a bug,
or it maybe can be configured in Tomcat somehow.
Grazie,
