A minor documentation one.
The documentation - http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/datadirectory/data-dir-structure.html
Says for the layergroup:
“The layergroups directory contains configuration information for the defined layergroups.”
but it doesn’t contain layergroups that are part of a workspace. Those layergroups go into the workspaces directory. That isn’t reflected in the “workspaces” part of that document either.
