In PostGIS is stored a table of simple, valid POLYGON. Each POLYGON is like a square grid cell, there are no overlapping POLYGON. I believe this same same rendered in Geoserver 2.3x, but no long have the machine to test (this is the same upgraded server) One table is aprox. 1400 cells by 1200 cells. From Geoserver, choose the OpenLayers Preview for the layer. Choose any SLD style, including stock POLYGON, LINE and POINT sld, or a custom SLD with values. Notice that the cells render correctly close up (“high” zoom levels) but when zooming out (“low” zoom level) to the last two values, Geoserver renders an image, or tiles, as white with no error msg. WMS in QGis shows the same behavior… in one case, 1:160,000 renders correctly, but 1:250,000 shows white only. |
