[Geoserver-devel] New community module GSR

Dear all,
I’m writing to inform about the creation of the new geoserver community module gsr.
The module comes as a result of the import of the gsr plugin (https://github.com/geosolutions-it/gsr), and provides
an ArcGIS REST compatibility API. According to the rules for module contribution (https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/wiki/GSIP-186 ) ,
its license is compatible with geoserver, since it is a GPL 2.0 too.
Here you can find the pull request https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/4137.
Best regards,
Marco Volpini

I had a look, while community modules are not subject to extensive review (until ready to be an extension) the documentation and code examples need some work before they can be incorporated.

As an example This module is GeoServices REST API, and we should be careful to handle ESRI and ArcGIS trademarks in the docs, and examples should use the open source libraries at https://esri.github.io/ (rather than the arcgis content which is under license).
