Hi,
I'm looking around and I see at least two, maybe three things blocking
the RC5 release:
- overnight the dependency towards GWC was moved to SNAPSHOT again
with a commit log saying "set GWC dependency to 1.2-SNAPSHOT to
catch up on GWC bug fixes".
Yumm... bug fixes
But... RC5 might turn into the final, is there any way to tag GWC
and call it, dunno, 1.2.5.1?
1.2.6? 1.2-for.the.sake.of.GS.2.1.RC5?
So that we know what we were depending onto?
- http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4425 This baby spawned at least
3 bug reports plus
assorted complaints all around, I think I have a fix but it needs a review
- http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4421 This one is a regression,
it was possible to
disable the security subsystem in 2.0.x, but no more now
Cheers

yup, at least you don't want to be able of using jpeg tiles
(GEOS-4492)
I've been working on the 1.2.6 bugfix list in order to get there for GS
R5 and hopefully stick to that and not need a 1.2.7 for the final GS
2.1.0, or RC6 if more regressions arise.

Ok cool. RC5 was supposed to happen today, thought I migth not
be able to do it due to a couple of jiras in need of review.
Hopefully RC5 will be re-released as final, too (finger crossed).
When do you think "that.is.the.idea" version will be deployed on the
maven repos?
Cheers

There's only one issue left[1] that I think I'll let slip to the next
version cause I'm running out of spare time. So whenever you want. I
think later today after working hours I can go through the release
cycle, it's lighter than geosever's anyway.
would that work? are you planning waiting until tomorrow for RC5 or you
think you'll tag today? if so just tell me and we'll handle it.
Cheers,
Gabriel

Hum... I guess RC5 will have to be postponed to tomorrow, by the time Justin
wakes up and can give me a review on the two remaining issues I'll be
stuck in meetings without
a possibility to act on the release, so I guess I'll try to do it
tomorrow morning instead

Err... saw the commit going in, but I'm left with one hour or so of work so
it's not even enough time to do one of the uploads (takes 2-3 hours to upload
everything from here)
I guess I'll start today with geotools build and deploy and finish up tomorrow

I'm going to back port some upgrades to the INSPIRE community module.
As it's not part of the build I don't think there should be a problem
even though you already tagged RC5. But just to check?
